SCLAVOS S.A. was established by Spiros Sclavos, in Athens Greece, in 1948, as a small workshop for making parts and various repair works for textile machinery.
In the early 60's the company started making fabric dyeing machines, i.e. the first stainless steel winches.
Since then, SCLAVOS has specialized in the design and manufacturing of fabric dyeing machines and developing various types of winches.
In 1983 SCLAVOS designed their first low liquor dyeing machine the AIR-FLOW.
This machine was a big success in the booming Greek market and since 1987 in the International market as well.
APOLLON was the next development of SCLAVOS designers in 1990, with the revolutionary Twin Soft Flow patented dyeing system. That model was sold in more than 25 countries around the world.
In 1995 at ITMA Milan, SCLAVOS launched a totally "out of the box" approach for dyeing machines, incorporated in the new model VENUS.
That machine was a real breakthrough in the market, with more than 1.000 units sold in 36 countries all over the world.
In 2003 at ITMA Birmingham a new move forward was presented, the new ATHENA machine.
ATHENA was the first machine in the market with the Automatic Settings Adjustments and Variable Loading feature.
Sclavos stand in ITMA 2007 in Munich was again the reference point of new developments in Fabric Dyeing Machines. Sclavos introduced ATHENA2, a new smart machine, equipped with an advance automation system. Athena2 incorporates some unique systems such as–
 |
Twin soft flow (TSF) and Elbow plaiter, a unique fabric dyeing system (Patented) |
 |
Aquachron 2G Continuous Washing system ( Patented) |
 |
Advanced automation system for total interactive control. |
 |
Integrated control of Liquor Ratio |
 |
Automatic Settings Adjustment |
 |
Variable Loading system |
 |
Analogue Dosing system |
 |
Cycloclean |
In additionally Sclavos also introduced some additional peripheral like as -
Dry Salt Logistics (DSL), - is a new revolutionary approach of Sclavos technology to one of the most difficult processes in a dye house, i.e. Dry Salt Handling & Dosing.
Dry Salt Transfer System (DSTS) – to transfer dry salt into the dyeing machine, without predilutions in the additional tank.
pH – TDs unit – Objective to measure, record and also full control of pH value and TDS value through accurate correction.
Sclavos Heat Recovery System (SHR) – is a Sclavos unique system for energy saving from the hot effluent. Athena2 machine, due to the Aquachron 2G continuous washing system, discharges all the hot drained effluent through the SHR. The incoming fresh cold water flows also through the SHR and is heated up by the recovered energy. |

All Sclavos products are committed to the delivery of quality, productivity and reduction of cost and waste.
The new Athena2 machine, equipped with an advance automation system and a unique feature for the very accurate Liquor Ratio calculation, achieves a further 25% savings in water and energy.
Athena 2T is the latest development of SCLAVOS in the field of towel fabric dyeing machines.
Athena 2T incorporates some unique systems such as:
 |
Advanced automation system for total interactive control. |
 |
Extra Soft Flow Dyeing System (ESFL). |
 |
Aquachron 2G Continuous Washing System. |
 |
Automatic Setting Adjustment. |
 |
Variable Loading System. |
